Looking Ahead to 2020
Wednesday, October 31st, 2007On October 14, Columbus area residents met to take a look at where they would like to see the Columbus community in 2020. Following is the vision statement for 2020 developed at that meeting. How do you feel about it? The Horizons Steering Committee seeks your comments. Also, three more committees were formed besides the existing three. The six committees include: Youth/Mentoring; Beautification; Farmers Market; Infrastructure & Services; Economic Development; Community Involvement. Vision Statement for 2020
Columbus is a safe, progressive community that values its people and honors and preserves its history. Its character is reflected in its active community involvement, youth development, and the support of a self-sustaining business environment. Columbus is a place where all community members can thrive, prosper, and grow.
